  • Henrik planned his final surprise for his wife at his funeral as he had asked the flowers to be arranged into a “blooming garden” as a tribute to his partner of 50 years.
  • He was cremated on February 20, 2018, with half of the ashes scattered across Danish seas and half placed in the private part of the gardens at Fredensborg Palace.
