Galusyan’s ethnology roots go back to Trabzon, modern Turkey, where there was once a large Armenian population. His paternal grandfather and 12 siblings moved to Sochi from Trabzon in modern Turkey, which was once a Black sea coast town in the Russian Empire. Galustyan’s mother is Abkhazian. Galustyan, who is ethnically Abkhazi, is of Hemshin descent. This branch of Western-Indian genealogy originates from a diverse group Western-Indians who have, or are currently, affiliated with the Hemsin District in the province Rize, Turkey. Galustyan participated in singing, dancing and reciting poetry when he was in kindergarten. Galustyan was a Sochi school student in his youth. He learned to play the piano and took music classes.
